The City of Grenoble has decided to open the doors of the southern part of the former Ecole Supérieure du Professorat et de l'Education (ex ESPE - IUFM) to the public with an innovative 4-year transitional occupancy project (2023-2027).
The program includes a third-location facility bringing together several complementary activities in a single space: production areas, cultural and social activities, food...
To coordinate the project, the City of Grenoble and SAGES, the site's developer, have chosen the pali pali company, a cultural, social and solidarity-based gas pedal that manages sites in Belgium and France. The coordinator's team, led by Grenoble-born Jérôme de Lignerolles, will be in charge of a threefold mission: coordinating, energizing and animating the site.

Association pour le développement des Sports de Sable (AD2S)
AD2S runs the Plage de Grenoble, a venue for sand sports, as well as a space for fun, sports and experimentation, in the heart of the ZAC Flaubert urban development zone.
Au Bonsens Des Mets
Since 2009, Au Bonsens Des Mets has been concocting organic & local meals in its laboratory for corporate canteens and the general public, cooked and served with joy and good humor! Au Bonsens des Mets will occupy the Cafeteria kitchens
APMAG and the association Quiz de l'Anthropocène
Currently known as La MADRE (Maison de l'Anthropocène des Dérèglements et des REbonds), AMPAG aims to create the conditions for the emergence of a house of the Anthropocene in Grenoble and the surrounding region. It shares its office with the Quiz de l'Anthropocène, which promotes a body of sourced knowledge on energy, climate and, more broadly, the climate crisis, in the form of quizzes.
Big Bang Ballers
The Big Bang Ballers association offers a range of sports, recreational, social and educational programs designed to combat inequality and discrimination in access to sport. BBB activities are hosted in the Gymnase.
Association cAPAbles
The Association cAPAbles provides Adapted Physical Activity classes to help you harmonize your Leisure, Cravings and Health in Grenoble and the surrounding area, and beyond. It was recognized as a Maison Sport-Santé in January 2020.
Collectif C nous
C nous is an associative platform that brings together associations and art'ivists who develop Hip Hop culture and act to improve understanding and dissemination of this culture.
Le Comptoir des Arts
A multi-disciplinary production office for the performing arts. It supports artists in the development of their artistic projects (music, theater, dance, etc.) with a view to professionalization and structuring.
Cie Craque Ta Coquille
Contemporary hip hop dance company. The company is interested in live performance, street performance (dance and theater), the digital world and what's going on around us.
La Crique Sud
A well-known cultural bistro in downtown Grenoble, SCOP Crique Sud is moving to La Correspondance in April 2024 to offer a bar and snack counter service and liven up the square with its emotionally-charged cultural and entertainment program.
L'Éléfàn
A store selling mainly local and sometimes organic produce, l'Éléfàn is a different kind of supermarket, based on the investment of all its members. A store where you can find everything, at fair prices for producers and members alike.
Grenoble Alpes Initiative Active (GAIA)
The association, which is setting up its new "totem space" at La Correspondance, is active in the field of the social and solidarity economy, giving the means to act to those working for a meaningful, more inclusive and sustainable local economy, to positively transform the Isère region.
Retour de Scène
Since 2007, RDS has been involved in the development of and access to contemporary music in Isère: distribution, support for practices, cultural actions and event production. It uses the popular and unifying dimension of music as a vector for social ties.
Sicklo
Bicycle delivery cooperative founded in July 2019 in Grenoble. Owned and founded by its couriers, it offers Grenoble's retail and restaurant customers a 100% carbon-free, bike-only delivery solution .
Association Weavers
After exile, Weavers offers access to employment through training and encounters. It facilitates recruitment not only for exiles, but also for all stakeholders with a role to play in making a real impact on the French reception and integration system.
Next steps in the project :
- October: first residents move in and activities begin in the gymnasium and dance hall
- November: official opening of the site to the public
- Festival opening: December 2023
